No time switch in Russia

Why did Russia suddenly decide to reject time switch this fall? It used this system since 1917 and everyone seemed to be OK with that? So why such a change of heart?

The Industry and Trade Ministry earlier ordered an investigation into the effects of changing the clocks.
The resulting report suggests that it negatively impacts on people’s lives.
It also says that abolishing the system will, in fact, save more daylight.
