I AM FROM RUSSIA!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS MY COUNTRY!!!!! I’m proud to be Russian.

To me personally this EuroVision has revealed a truly awesome Argentinean team “FUERZA BRUTA”! The way they performed at Olympiyski Palace was just unspeakable. As I was watching it on TV I regretted so much I couldn’t be there myself to see them performing live. Anyway it was the most spectacular show I have ever seen!!!

I totally agree with you sportsman!!! Fuersa bruta did something unbelieavable when they were swimming in that hanging pool. And I’m so glad I was lucky to see it all with my own eyes!!! There was nothing sofisticated about their moves but the whole effect of the show was absolutely astounding. Everyone watched so dazedly, they were all mesmerized and couldn’t help it…

And as for me I really loved Cirque du Soleil’s story about prodigal son and its turning into Dima Bilan’s performance of “Believe”. I’m not really a Bilan’s fan but that was a terrific sight!

Если для других стран конкурс был лишь еще одним поводом привлечь толпы туристов и сплавить им как можно больше сувениров, то для нашей страны Евровидение стало шансом показать в полной мере широту русской души. Россией был установлен рекорд по размеру потраченных на проведение денег: официально ушло $42 млн, но говорят, что цифра сильно занижена и на самом деле Евровидение обошлось больше чем в $50 млн, которые даже близко не окупились притоком туристов и продажей билетов. Константин Эрнст сказал по этому поводу: «Главное не заработки, а внешнеполитический эффект». А эффект был: над залом летал Дима Билан, концертные номера сопровождались фейерверками, сложными сценическими трюками, конкурс вели самые дорогостоящие ведущие, а начало голосования объявляли космонавты в прямой трансляции из космоса.
Вторым рекордом конкурса стал результат голосования. Победитель набрал рекордное количество баллов за всю историю — 387. Но во время награждения у его награды отвалилась подставка, и ведущие сказали, что это на счастье.

It was one of Russia’s greatest show-offs. It needs to show the world its power. As always, it has nothing to do with real music - politics only (IMHO).

What’s so political about a boy from Norway??? Why was he given a record number of votes? Is Norway so important to Europe?

Politics? I dunno. I personally think that Rybak’s song was really catchy and it was different to all the other sophisticated performances - and exactly for this reason most people voted for it. It’s very simple and sincere, and most people like simplicity. That’s all the secret, I guess!   I would vote for it too!

My my my! Don’t be soooo naive!!! Have you ever heard about NORDSTREAM (or Северный поток)??? For your info its way is supposed to lie along the territories of Finland and Sweden (in the Baltic Sea) before reaching its final destination in Germany. Furthermore, there’s gonna be another part of it which’ll be located in the Barents Sea - and that’s where Norway’s at!

The gas produced in Russia’s giant Shtokman field will be transported first to Teriberka, Russia, where some fraction of it will be liquefied and transported to world markets via high-pressure LNG tanker ships and some fraction will be transported to Western Europe via the North Stream pipeline.

The waters of the Barents Sea are disputable area as it’s hard to figure out which part belongs to Norway and which to Russia. That’s why it’s so important for Russia to stay good friends with Norway - because we really need the Barents Sea to build the Nord Stream. And Russia’s also highly interested in keeping up friendly relationships with Finland and Sweden because of the Baltic Sea.
And this is why the Norwegian boy (who accidentally appeared to be of Russian descent) won the first prize and ALL the Scandinavian countries stayed in the Final Eurovision. Do you believe me now????

I actually never think of a political side of such contests.
I liked the song though
“Fairytale” was really good. And also Patricia Kaas. Oh, and the Turkish girl was really hot!

I ain’t interested in any politics, I just enjoy the show and don’t wanna know nothing else.
